T O P I C R E V I E WtgemI had a tarot reading done in October...my first one. The Death card showed up. I have been told its about transformation- significant endings and new beginnings. I'm wondering if it could mean the ending to my 10 year relationship. Does this card turn up often? My relationship has been rocky for quite some time. Interestingly, saturn is transiting my 5th house Uranus right now....could anyone give me some more insight of getting the Death card?!! Do good things follow? Also which card would indicate someone who is considered very lucky?Which card would show someone who will be very successful?PixieJaneIt's been so many years since I learned Tarot (and I never learned it well), but it's my understanding that the Tarot doesn't tell you if you're lucky or not. Instead it reveals your future or gives you insight into a question you asked. And as for successful, it might tell you of an endeavor, but not "in life" (besides, how would you define successful anyway, and how to sift through all the failures that typically come with success?). I've only heard of one (which is just a legend) of a guy who was told by a tarot reading that he'd be successful (in his case the last card that revealed the outcome was the Magician), but his life still ended tragically (and as a result of his success). As for Death, it does mean change...it can be good or bad, it can even mean literal death, though usually it's metaphoric. Generally speaking an upright card is good and an upside down card is bad and that includes Death. The one card you don't want (especially as the outcome) is the Tower, not even upright (upside down is even worse). That says very bad things are coming your way (or whoever and whatever the reading is about). RandallIMHO, Death generally means out with the old and in with the new. I personally don't view it as a bad card unless you resist change.tgemInteresting, thank you!RandallNo worries!imeanj http://www.keen.com/documents/works/articles/tarot/death-tarot-card.asp RandallThanks!RandallDid you figure out what it means for you?RandallWow, that link was spot on!
